On Sunday, March 27th, we celebrated the miraculous work of the Lord at a Baptism Service at Redeemer. These services are a sweet reminder of what the Lord has done in the life of each follower of Jesus. The testimony below is from Noah Smith.
I’ve been going to churches all of my life, but never really felt at home in church. My home life has been rough at points in time. My father was a man that was hardly around and was someone that was very much in sin and the flesh. He wasn’t a good father or a good husband to my mother, sister, and I. Most of the time it felt like nothing was ever good enough for him and that everyone had to take care of him, not the other way around. He did not sacrificially love his family.
Something that impacted me to my very core was my mother almost dying. I was terrified I would be at school and get a call that my mother had passed away. I got addicted to adult content that I still struggle with. In school I was bullied. My mother had to make the difficult decision to send me to a mental health day program. While in this program, I was diagnosed with Autism, a learning and mental disability. My mom has fought tooth and nail for me throughout my entire life and without her who knows where I would be.
Through all the bad times God was there for me and my family, looking out for us. I truly believe that I am where I am now because of him.
