Baptism is a symbol of the new life believers have in Christ. This is Caden Anderson’s public profession of faith in Jesus from her baptism on Sunday, October 7, 2024.
Two years ago I gave my life to Christ but I have never gone through the process of baptism. The thought of being publicly baptized had always scared me and I was insecure about how old I already was. Before giving my life to Christ, I had always been raised in a Christian household and the message of God had been in an arms reach. At a young age I had witnessed each of my siblings go through the process of baptism but I had always taken God for granted. It wasn't until I had gone to church camp and witnessed others give their life to Christ that I realized how important it was to be publicly baptized with the church among my brothers and sisters in Christ. We should be proud of our Creator and the fact that we are the children of God. The Bible states that “It is a gift from God to be able to eat and drink and experience the good that comes from every kind of hard work” (Ecclesiastes 3:13). We should never take God for granted but instead trust in the plan that he has for us. It is never too late to be baptized and we should always be proud of the fact that we are his.
