Baptism is a symbol of the new life believers have in Christ. This is Rekela Perkins’ public profession of faith in Jesus from her baptism on Sunday, October 7, 2024.

Two years ago, I was going through a rough period where I was having constant anxiety. I tried therapy and I tried journaling, but the only thing that truly healed me was Jesus. Through gentle reminders He brought me back to His word, and little by little I regained my trust in Him. A story He often brings me back to is when Peter walked on water and needed to keep his eyes on Jesus. This is what I need to do to better my walk with Jesus and put my old ways behind me. Baptism is the next big step in my faith to become more and more like Jesus every day.
