In Luke 7, Jesus was traveling through a town called Nain. He came across a heart-broken widow whose only son had just died. She was understandably distraught and crushed. Luke 7:13 says, “And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion for her and said to her, ‘Do not weep.’” This was Jesus’ instinctive response to the suffering and demonstrates his heart for the women in his life.
